An "artist's home" among the sandbanks, at the center of one of the oldest settlements in the lagoon. Immersed in silence and the low-lying lagoon landscape, surrounded by orchards and gardens, a space dedicated to art, guarding paintings, precious objects, tiles, ornaments, ceramics and silks all made between the 1950s and 1980s. The house-museum was commissioned by Paul Andrich, nephew of the artist - Lucio Andrich - and a great lover of art.
A new experience, suspended between past and future in a perfect balance of ecosystem and biodiversity - all this is Casa Andrich in Torcello.
And now the house museum is about to undergo major expansion works which will open the large Andrich collection still hidden in the archives and inaccessible to the public.
Well worth the trip!
