Venice, wine and glass: an emotional experience

The history of the Serenissima is so closely intertwined with the tradition of wine and glassware that it is possible to map its major milestones through modern painting.

Sommelier and wine connoisseur Nicola Sabbatini took us on a sensorial journey, retracing the history of wine and the transparencies of its glass containers in the subdued candlelight of the irreverently historical setting of the Venice Venice Hotel

Through the paintings of some great masters, we were taken down an unexplored path, accompanied by the tasting of four wines offered by exceptional wineries. This fluid and emotional journey began with the durello from the Lessini Mountains Borgo Rocca Sveva, followed by the malvasia by Venica&Venica and the Venusa Venissa, and ended with the raboso from Castello di Roncade. During the narration, we tasted signature bites from the kitchen, inspired by Venetian tradition with an innovative twist: a perfect match.

A sunset-long event, which, almost like a dream, vanished when the last light of day gave way to night.
