The excitement of the 14th edition of the Diane Von Furstenberg Awards is still very much alive in our memory.
A ceremony that once again this year honoured extraordinary women who distinguished themselves for their entrepreneurial spirit in creating projects that improve the world we live in.
The cloisters of the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore welcomed the evening's honourees and guests bringing together Hollywood stars and international personalities, with a string quartet at sunset. A convivial moment in which to enjoy a glass of champagne and take in the beauty of the venue.
The elegant Salone degli Arazzi lent a touch of gravitas to the modern style of the scenery created for the occasion, making the evening even more splendid. Outstanding women took the stage at the awards ceremony, to talk about scientific innovations, human rights, environmental issues, development projects for countries in difficulty, and the importance of supporting and celebrating female entrepreneurs and female leaders as role models for our changing world. An ecstatic audience crowned the ceremony with long, enthusiastic applause.
The evening came to a close with a lively dinner featuring delicious finger food and tasty nibbles prepared by a starred caterer, held in the exquisite Chiostro dei Cipressi.
