With the opening of Hotel Ca’ di Dio, a new addition to the VRetreats collection in Venice, the city welcomes a hospitality project that brings together history, architecture and a contemporary vision.

For the inaugural vernissage, Nexa Event & Travel Designers curated both the concept and the organisational direction, translating the idea of an “open house” into a fluid and immersive experience.

From the former church reimagined as a lobby to the inner courtyards, the Reading Room, Bar Alchemia and the restaurants, the hotel’s spaces became a living stage, animated by artistic performances, light installations and subtle scenographic presences guiding guests through a dynamic yet harmonious journey. The international press conference, hosted in the nearby Sala dei Forni at the Circolo della Marina Militare, preceded the evening event, which unfolded in the main courtyard through projections and live performances, creating an atmosphere both refined and at ease.

Developed for Gruppo Alpitour – VOIhotels, the project required a layered approach combining creative direction, bespoke set-ups and operational coordination, marking the beginning of a new chapter for a historic Venetian site, now reinterpreted as a place of hospitality and contemporary living.
