Venice Marco Polo Airport unveiled its new Water Terminal and Moving Walkway—two key infrastructures designed to strengthen the connection between the airport and the lagoon. The Water Terminal, spanning 5,000 square metres with 24 berths, streamlines passenger flows arriving by water. The Moving Walkway, an elevated route inspired by New York’s High Line, links the dock to the terminal and multi-storey car park, transforming transit into a panoramic experience.
For the inauguration, Nexa led the integrated direction of a multi-layered event structured in two distinct moments: an institutional ceremony at the dock, attended by Minister Graziano Delrio and over 400 guests; followed by a more dynamic and creative experience along the walkway, accompanied by live musical interventions.
Through precise flow management, institutional coordination and careful timing, Nexa ensured narrative continuity across both phases—from ribbon cutting and blessing to the closing cocktail in the internal gardens.
An infrastructure becomes a story when space and organisation move in unison, turning a technical achievement into a coherent and memorable public experience.
