Paolo Venini and his furnace at the Island of Giorgio Maggiore in Venice until 8 January

Le Stanze del Vetro on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore house an exhibition dedicated to Paolo Venini, an enlightened and creative entrepreneur and a great protagonist of twentieth century glass.

Venini’s creative vision as well as the contributions of those artists who collaborated with him over the years such as Gio Ponti, Ken Scott, Riccardo Licata, Tobia Scarpa, are the focus of the exhibition that recounts the beauty and vitality of the art of glass, in its diverse styles and experimentations.

A visit to the show is not only for the great art on display but also as a wonderful opportunity to discover all the treasures that the Island of San Giorgio can offer.
