Procuratie Vecchie, an astounding architectural gem opens to the public for the first time in its 500 year long history, is now reclaiming its rightful place in all its magnificence on Piazza San Marco, as one of the top conference venues, committed to exchanging ideas and dialogue.
It offers a unique place in which to organise a symposium, a conference or a specialised seminar concerning themes connected to the history of a city like Venice, the emblem of cultural identity and hospitality. All rooms afford enchanting views on the Piazza San Marco and the Basilica, giving a touch of uniqueness to any event hosted here.
Once the centre of the political and social life of the Serenissima, Procuratie Vecchie were the headquarters of the Procurators of St. Mark, the highest office after the Doge’s, in charge of the administration of the Basilica and the protection of the poor and orphans. After 1831, the building became the headquarters of Assicurazioni Generali. Today, the Insurance Company has come back to its Venetian roots, returning Procuratie to its original splendour through a magnificent renovation intervention.
Procuratie opens its doors to The Human Safety Net and reconnects to the original mission of being a social pole, a place where to forge and exchange ideas that aim to overcome the main challenges of our world, a space that supports the project of making Venice the world’s capital for sustainability, place where activity and innovation can thrive.
Share with us the emotion of organising your next event in a precious piece of Venice history, a jewel that has just been brought to a new life. What other place can offer charm, history, exclusivity with all the state-of-the-art technical solutions?
