Homo Faber 2024: a journey into contemporary creativity at the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice 

We have now reached one of the highly anticipated events for those who love craftsmanship excellence: Homo Faber. This biennial event is the brainchild of the Michelangelo Foundation based in Geneva. This year's artistic director is Luca Guadagnino who, together with architect Nicolò Rosmarini, has curated a ‘journey’ through the milestones of human life. With ‘The Journey of Life’ at the Giorgio Cini Foundation, it will be possible to see unique objects handmade by extraordinary craftsmen from all over the world. The event will also be the perfect backdrop to showcase the excellence of Venetian craftsmanship. 

The role of Nexa Event & Travel Designers: behind the scenes of an extraordinary event

Once again this year, we are thrilled to be part of Homo Faber and contribute to making this event a memorable success. Our team worked with dedication on three key aspects of the organisation. 

• Press Preview: Our team coordinated the logistics of the programme for journalists and the press preview visits to local artisans. We worked to ensure an all-round experience by highlighting the unique stories of those participating in Homo Faber, both at the Giorgio Cini Foundation and outside, among the city's workshops and ateliers. 

• Private Visits: For those seeking an intimate and customised experience, we have curated the Private Visits. These exclusive tours allow visitors to explore not only the exhibition at the Giorgio Cini Foundation but also to immerse themselves in the life and culture of the city of Venice. Small groups of guests, guided by experts, will visit workshops, ateliers and factories, discovering the true essence of craftsmanship in Venice and the Lagoon. 

• Staff: We also recruited the staff; a close-knit team of boys and girls who will accompany the Young Ambassadors on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore to receive visitors, guide them and support them during the event. Our efforts focused on finding personable and enthusiastic young university students so as to ensure an efficient and well-organised meet-and-greet experience.
