Murano: Stories of People, Glass and Emotions

Follow us in two itineraries that will introduce you to young glass masters, families who have been active in glassmaking for generations and world-famous furnaces. All through the voice of the protagonists!

The first tour will explore three fantastic stories: the ones behind Luciano Gambaro and Matteo Tagliapietra, the mastermind and operative arm of the eponymous furnace, Alessandro Moretti of Costantini Glassbeads who, as a child, used to play among the boxes of his grandfather's multicoloured glass beads, and iconic Salviati, a furnace that has been producing artistic glassware for 150 years.

The second tour will focus on Roberto Beltrami who, after achieving a degree in physics in Boston, fell madly in love with this art and founded Wave Murano Glass, and Matteo Seguso who, having approached the technique of artistic engraving on glass to follow in his father's footsteps, is today one of the most talented engravers in Murano.
