Murano: Reflections of Light, Form, and Colour

Come and discover the many facets of glassmaking expressed in the continuous search for shapes, shades and colours meant to leave their mark and create kaleidoscopic works of art.

You will visit to the Simone Cenedese furnace and its glassware of incredibly innovative colours and shades. Next, the Barbini Specchi workshop, where the inimitable Venetian mirrors with magical reflections that grace the walls of the most beautiful palaces in the world, such as Versailles, have been created for generations.

In the second tour, Nexa will take you to the Mian furnace where its skilled glassmakers masterfully use colours to create objects and accessories, then on to the Vianello Murrine workshop to experience firsthand the fascinating aesthetic process of composing a millefiori murrina using the mosaic technique, one of the oldest and most fascinating inventions in the history of glassmaking.
