Our tours have been designed with an eye to the culture of glass as an all-round art form.
The first stop on the tour will be a visit to the "Glass to Glass" exhibition, the result of the collaboration between Berengo Studio and WonderGlass who, united by their shared passion and deep respect for this art, have sought to give a new momentum to the glass sector by showcasing the infinite possibilities that this medium has to offer.
In a stunning location, our guide will walk you through an exhibition of contemporary glass art & design that includes a selection of unique pieces from the WonderGlass and Berengo Studio collections along with new and re-imagined pieces, some specially commissioned for GLASS to GLASS, by artists such as Nendo, Maarten Baas, John Pawson and Sam Baron.
The tour will continue with a visit to El Cocal, the first all-female glass studio. Opened in the height of the pandemic by Chiara Lee Taiarol and Mariana Oliboni, the project aims to breathe new life into this age-old craft through the interconnection with different genres and arts. At El Cocal you will see how authentic performance art objects are made, unique and personalised pieces such as musical instruments in Murano glass.
To reach this very special glass studio, you will walk along the Rio dei Vetrai, the canal that divides the island of San Pietro from that of Santo Stefano, to discover some of the iconic sights and ancient legends of this magical island.
