Presentation of the Louis Vuitton Venice City Guide 2014

Cultural Event

On December 4, Maison Louis Vuitton hosted the presentation of the LV Venice City Guide, the new and original guide to Venice. Special guests of the event were the authors Oscar and Philippe Duboy, Julien Guerrier, editorial director of the LV City Guides, and Alberto Sonino, internationally renowned sailor and true born Venetian who contributed to in the guide his personal vision of the city, focussing on places to discover and revisit in the name of quality tourism and respect.

The Nexa team, with their in-depth knowledge of Venice translated into specific guided itineraries and city tours specifically created for the Nexa clients, was the natural choice of the French fashion house for the organization of the day’s events.

Preparations had started a month earlier with the hand delivery of nearly 300 invitations and exquisite boxed sets of the city guides. A delivery as glamorous and extravagant as the new graphic layout chosen for the occasion. All invitations were in the hands of the recipients in good time to allow journalists and critics to have a preview of the event.

The format of the day included, as is customary, a press preview studied in every tiny detail by the Italian LV press office, followed by a light lunch in one of the “osterie” mentioned in the guide. The mise en place was prepared in record time and the creative ideas of the Nexa team made the difference. The result was impeccable as always!

In the afternoon some of the guests were then escorted on board an elegant water taxi, and the Nexa staff accompanied them on a very special and unique outing along the city’s inner, more intriguing canals.

Not a moment's rest for the Nexa staff, who gathered once again on the third floor of the Maison’s Venetian boutique for the preparation of the Espace and the briefing of the hostesses.

More than 100 of the guidebooks to Venice, and as many guidebooks of the 14 other cities that are part of the "Louis Vuitton City Guide" project, plus 10 Ipads reproducing a looped video presentation of the city guides created a highly colourful backdrop and a unique urban style setting.

The event was attended by contemporary artist Fabrizio Plessi, actress Ottavia Piccolo, the Councillor for Culture Angela Vettese and many others, for a total of nearly 250 guests. A great result for the house and a new success for Nexa!
