Oceans from Space

Conference

The fourth edition of the Symposium "Oceans from Space", whose previous editions date back to 1980, 1990 and 2000, was held in Venice from 26 to 30 April 2010. The aim of the conference was to define the state of the art in the field of oceanography "from space", provide an overview of the research currently being carried out in the international arena and provide a forum for the discussion of current problems.
Nexa managed all hospitality services with its usual professionalism: from the organization of the conference in the magnificent Hall of Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista to the program of side events with a series of initiatives and tourist itineraries through places rich in history, and characteristic wining and dining establishments in the Venetian lagoon. Along with the usual organizational services - secretariat, conference venue, hostesses, technical equipment, catering & banqueting, logistics - Nexa diversified its offer by proposing a program of tours tailored to meet the needs of every participant, including cultural and tourist itineraries showing Venice in all its magic, from the classic sights and must-see monuments to more off the beaten path itineraries and less known but equally impressive and unique corners of the city. Palaces and historic houses became the passe-partout for memorable tours, old traditional shops and workshops revealed their secrets in creating precious objects, hotels and restaurant famous throughout the world welcomed the most demanding customers. And all around, the spell of this city enhanced every presence and participation.
