The newly completed Hotel Ca' di Dio VRetreats in Venice had its grand opening on October 12 and Nexa organized the inauguration. The gala event was staged with an exceptional team of first-class creative talents, set designers, graphic designers, video makers, photographers and artisans in a flurry of meetings and briefings.
The project was launched on a sultry summer day, when we went to the Ca' di Dio hotel to inspect the site. In an open construction site, amongst the chaotic comings and goings of workmen and construction workers, the General Manager of the hotel announced the concept of the event: "a party where guests, as if they were "at home", will be able to fully relax and enjoy all public spaces in a creative, stimulating and meaningful way, with a 5-star welcome". The enthusiasm for this important project grew as the uniqueness of the layout of the hotel was outlined: the chapel that has become a lobby, the inner courtyards, the terraces, the Reading Room, the Alchemia Bar and the Restaurants Essentia and VERO, spaces that we have populated with shows and enhanced with fairy-tale characters.
The press conference for international media representatives was held in the Sala dei Forni of the adjacent Navy building, featuring custom-made furniture created for the occasion. The festive evening was magical, with immersive projections in the larger inner courtyard and a stream of performances by musicians, dancers, actors that spread throughout the hotel, in a sophisticated, stylish, and super relaxing atmosphere.
For us it was a great event made possible through the efforts of a great team that, together with our staff, celebrated Venetian hospitality and, with this grand opening, ushered in a new life for a building that is part of the history and culture of Venice.
