A full rostrum of events for Nexa at the 57th International Art Exhibition - Venice Biennale

Opening

The opening of the 57th Venice Biennale was for us a single massive event with a whirlwind of activitiesthat had our team working non-stop on several projects at the same time. For several days Nexa's offices were turned into the creative workshop and operating hub of all the activities we had going: inaugurations, gala dinners, receptions and cultural and artistic appointments.

The first event to take the stage was for Fendi at the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, with a gala evening where Nexa contributed with host staff, hostessesand logistics. Our girlscoordinated the guest placement while the stewards managed the external logistics. Carrying reproduction period lanterns specially rented from a historic atelier, our boys guided guests from the boat landing points to the chosen location, recreating the atmosphere of 15th century Venice when the Codega - "the lantern bearers" - were hired to light the path of the nobles and the wealthy in the dark streets of the city. We wanted this detail to offer our guests an experiencerelated to Venetian tradition.

On the same day, we collaborated with Louis Vuitton who had planned a series of eventsin the city. Maison Louis Vuittonhosted the exhibition vernissage dedicated to Pierre Huygue, while the terrace of Hotel Bauer was chosen for lunch for the press; the Correr Museum was instead the stage for a gala dinner which ended with an after dinner at TFondaco. Nexa was the local event coordinator, managing the transfer of guests from one event to another and supervising every detail, thus guaranteeing punctuality and the smooth running of all scheduled appointments.

On the evening of May 11 we were at the Rialto Markets with Massive Events. The London agency we have now been working with for a number of years chose us once again for our reliability and the way we handle our services. The Massive Events function took place at the Rialto, where the typical setting of the market was rebuilt with the colours and scents of the stalls providing the background to the bistros and small cafes specially created for the occasion.

Thanks to the excellent relations with the Giorgio Cini Foundation and the "Glass Rooms" in Venice, we collaborated with Galleria Tornabuoni for the opening of the Alighiero Boetti exhibition "Minimum / Maximum". Montblanc alsoreconfirmed its confidence in us and entrusted us with the hostessing service for the event organized at Hotel Bauer.

A separate chapter should instead be reserved for Venetian Heritage and the Gala Weekend to which each year we have the honor to contribute. Our staff managed the hospitality desk at Hotel Bauer, the hospitality services at the Gallerie dell'Accademia and Palazzo Gradenigo, where adéjeuner sur l'herbe was held to celebrateVenice's cultural and artistic heritage. Our hostesses also welcomed and assisted the guests at the Venetian Heritage event in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana, held in the splendid setting of Palazzo Ducale.

Also for Biennale 2017, we have given a lot and received a lot in return, re-affirming our role as the local agency for international clients and other high profile names.
